Countless Filipinos have heroically gone out of their way to help our brothers and sisters in this time of need. This is just my humble contribution as a singer and musician. I hope, in my own little way, I can help raise additional funds they badly need, and perhaps give a little boost to their morale to help them get back on their feet again.
I am offering a completely new song, ‘Bangon’ as a free download. Hopefully it will alsoraise some badly needed funds through your donations. Warner Music Philippines is currently helping me set up a bank account to accomodate your cash donations as well as a Paypal account for those of you who wish to help from overseas.
For those who wish to donate now, you can text Bangon to 5677. I am waiving all royalties, the amount of which will go to our countrymen affected by the typhoons.
Please feel free to download the track, use it, and share with your friends to spread the message of hope to everyone.
Thank you for your kindness. God bless. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
If only you knew…
If only I can…
I’ll fight the agony inside
And tell the story behind.
Every moment i see your eyes,
You look deep in mine.
I always open my heart,
hoping you’ll see my inner side.
When will the right time come?
I hope it’s soon.
But maybe it will never arrive.
Maybe it’s time for a goodbye.
If only you knew…
If only I can…
I’ll let you rule my world.
Until my last cell dies.

Very exhausting day, i waited for hours in a very long queue. Hmm it’s just an exaggeration. I arrived in Araneta at around 11am, my friends were already there early in the morning so i just sneak in their queue haha. We got upper b, not bad. We were seated at the Ateneo region, neighbor! They’re actually nice in a way, they let us occupy their seats but… gave us blue balloons! So we had to cheer for them, not bad again because they’re neighbors! UP-ADMU relationship in cdc is different, they support each other. I got a UP cheer mat on one hand and a blue balloon on the other, cheer for UP then cheer for Ateneo then cheer again for UP haha. The Blue Babble Battalion was one of my fave squads. Their girls are really pretty! I expected them to be in top 3 last year.
UP’s routine didn’t have enough wow factor unlike in the past two years. Their stunts were not flawless - one in pyramid and the other in a bow and arrow i guess. But the Ikot jeep and the blue book are cool! (rock) What i like most in UP Pep Squad (every year) are their tosses, they really toss high and there’s energy in every toss! Ateneo’s routine was also good, as far as i can remember they only fell in one stunt. Their moon walk is the best! FEU deserved the top spot, their routine was very polished and they have improved a lot from their past routines which were more of floor exercises. Scores: FEU-86.1, ADMU-83.4, UP-83.1 - ADMU’s and UP’s scores were close! it can be interchanged given another 16 counts *wink
I know that sdt fans are gonna hate me (i don’t care) but i was so elated that UST was not in top 3. “UST ang Pamantayan” - huh? since when? I like the scene when UP bid goodbye to UST after the winners were announced, waving hands ruled the loser sign. Even if UP Pep Squad didn’t win this year it’s OK, there’s always a next year and I’m still a huge UP PS fan! I commend all the squads for putting up better routines in this season. Many have improved but UP PS is still THE BENCHMARK OF CREATIVITY AND ORIGINALITY. Let’s go UP!
There’s no such thing as the Big 4, only the BIG 3. Wag na ipilit! ~ i just remembered from a conversation haha
I think im going to have colds. I’m at CVMIG lab and its icy here - first time to blog in our iMac! Yes, iMacs are the newbies of the department, each research labs has new iMacs for each undergraduate research team. I’ll be marketing our thesis to IBMers - talking about elevator speech. aja!
I woke up a bit dizzy today, hangover! I missed the feeling of getting drunk and so i enjoyed it last night at Pork Barrel with Addi and Gold. In the midst of academic intoxication and tiring yet relentless passion for service, i engaged myself in a state where i can be easygoing. It was so damn good! laughing out loud, worrying about nothing, thinking randomly, listening, watching, commenting, just being the ordinary and the wild just to ease off the stress in our minds and bodies. But before we got drunk we were at Trinoma on movie marathon.
At around 4:30 pm Addi and Gold came to my apartment to fetch me, i was asleep when they arrived. They woke me up and told me that i have to dress up because the movie The Proposal will start at 5:10 and so i rushed into the bathroom and hurriedly took a shower. Apparently, we didn’t make it on or before 5:10 so we decided to watch the 7:50 GI Joe instead. After buying tickets we agreed to have dinner at Bigoli. While walking our way to the restaurant we passed by a live shoot of Lucy Torres-Gomez’s and Wilma Doesnt’s The Sweet Life show. Wow! Lucy is very beautiful, i was really amazed!
Going back to the movie, GI Joe was a badass! Anna was hot! It was fun, scifi-ish and action-packed! - the kind of movie that i am willing to watch over and over again. It’s now on my official list of favorite movies along with Star Trek, Pearl Harbor, Eagle Eye and Stealth. And the Nanomites? well what can I say, it’s the word of the night!
I thought that the next thing that we will do after we get out of the cinema is to head home but NO!!! We found ourselves in front of the ticket booth again! queueing for The Proposal! We really can’t struggle against our desire to watch it because this is the only weekend where we found ourselves free from council commitments after the month-long Engineering Cup. So we thought that we need to reward ourselves with movies, we didn’t get much stress-free activities for over a month after all.
The Proposal was a light one and very funny! We’re a trio of weird laughers, we laugh like there’s no tomorrow! Everybody was already over a funny scene but we’re still not over it, still laughing. There’s this one scene where Addison’s laugh shined the most! You can probably hear his laugh on the Zth row, we were on row D! Nobody beat Addi’s laugh! The winning scene was when grandma Annie faked her heart attack just so they can ride a plane and catch Margaret’s flight back to NY. It was one hell of a good time movie.
We left Trinoma at 12am , we took a cab back to my apartment. All set to go home, Gold suddenly felt the urge to get drunk! Can’t help it again! The feeling of wanting to unwind! We spent the rest of our time in Pork Barrel with two buckets of Red Horse and Pork Sisig chatting about acads, personal life, esc life and some random stuffs. We spent some money in that night out but it’s all worth it, at least we had a fresh start for the upcoming acad demands and of course EMC!
